Petals has helped literally thousands of brides achieve their wedding dreams because we believe every client is unique and deserves special attention – but especially our brides.

After all, your wedding day will be one of the most memorable days of your life, and you'd like it to be perfect!  So would we.

Our design staff is one of the most artistic anywhere, so you'll get original design instead of cookie cutter arrangements.  Plus, unlike bargain-basement florists, we use the highest grade of fresh products available on the international markets so you'll get true value for your dollar.

The links below take you to pages showing floral arrangements which may fit your theme in style or color and help you advance the selection process. We work closely with our brides to achieve the look and feel they want without "bursting" their budget.

Our intent here is simply to offer you some ideas about the kinds of florals you may want.  We also provide you a form to help you wind your way through the process and establish a budget.

Here are the steps we recommend you follow as you plan your wedding:

1)  Set a budget you can manage easily within your means.

By now you may have discovered that planning a wedding is not only a lot of responsibility and hard work, it can be expensive. You don't need the extra pressure which comes from setting a budget that stretches your limits.  That only increases stress and takes away from the joy this process should bring you.  We've handled weddings with floral budgets from less than $100 to tens of thousands of dollars, so we know what we're talking about. When you allocate your budget, just remember the flowers are remembered by the guests about the same as the wedding gown.

(A budget hint:  while a wedding date close to major flower holidays like Valentine's or Christmas may be appealing, costs often run double or triple normal because of supply and demand.)

2)  Choose a theme to attain the "Look and Feel" you want.

Do you want a very formal ceremonial approach or are you inclined to go with a bright and joyous theme? Consider the setting you have chosen, the music you may use, the attire and colors the wedding party will wear, as well as who you've asked to participate, then set the tone accordingly. Do you want to evoke thoughts of a Southern plantation, a tropical isle or a sophisticated urban setting?  It may help you to look at our sample pages, as well as bridal magazines.  We will help you select florals that accomplish what you want.

3)  Pick type, styles and colors that maintain your theme.

Certain design choices may work better to match your theme. Do you like bouquets that are stem-wrapped with cloth or ribbon, held in a more formal Victorian style Tussi Mussi or presented in a nosegay; neatly compact in a rounded shape, cascading with flowers and greenery and ribbons or large, expansive to make a real statement; formal white, single color, or a variety of colors in a specified range, like pastels or fall, or tropical bright?

4)  Select the flowers that you like most.

Of course, you must take into consideration the seasonal limitations on some flowers.  New world markets in the Southern Hemisphere have made many of them available on more of a year-round basis, but costs generally are higher because of shipment.  If you choose one that's not available at the time of your wedding, we'll help you find an alternative that works. If you need to cut costs, we'll recommend alternatives that still attain your look and feel without straining your budget.

5)  List everyone requiring flowers, including special guests.

This list can have a major impact on your budget as you determine just how many people will get flowers.  We list a lot of choices on our form to help you decide.

6)  Make adjustments as needed.

Typically, we start the process with an initial proposal and then begin refining it with changes that you want.  We are easy to work with in adding, subtracting and changing the details.  It just takes good communications as we go through the process.

7)  Enjoy the process -- make it a day one you'll treasure a lifetime!

We'll take care of the flowers so you don't have to worry about that, and we'll be glad to help you in any other way we can.  We're familiar with traditional "Rules of Etiquette" for weddings, and we'll advise you when you ask, but we let you set the rules because we think this celebration should be what you want, not someone else's arbitrary dictates.
